Job Descriptions

• Receptionist
  Greet clients when they come to the hospital. Prepare charts for clients. File charts and paperwork. Answer phones and set appointments for clients. Operate a cash register and credit card processing machine.
• Kennel Attendant
  Feed and bathe the animals. Keep cages and runs clean and comfortable for the patients. Operate a washer/dryer to clean in-hospital laundry.
• Veterinary Assistant
  Obtain initial vital signs of the patient. Restrain animals for medical procedures. Draw blood and take fecal samples for testing. Fill prescriptions and use the computer system to input charges and print medication labels.
• Veterinary Technician
  Assist veterinarians with medical procedures. Provide nursing care for in-hospital patients. Place IV catheters and operate IV pumps for fluid administration, take digital radiographs, give medications and IV fluid treatments, bandaging and wound management, Draw blood and urine samples, dentistry, surgical prep and monitoring, general doctor assistance, receive all incoming emergencies and assess needed stabilizing measures.
